These offer a variety of programs designed to train you for a specific career. You may want to train as a chef, but you might be in an environment where you also meet students studying to be plumbers, carpenters, nurses or technicians. Traditional colleges or universities
Offer a major or minor in culinary arts and who may or may not be able to award degrees. These types of culinary education tend to have a more academic slant rather than a career oriented one.
Evening Classes
Designed more for the hobbyist or person who may want a short introduction to a particular style of cooking before embarking on a more intensive culinary education. These courses are useful for gaining an insight into the subject rather than education you for a specific career.
